Dr Jennifer Tan is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (FRANZCO). Dr Tan completed her undergraduate medical degree at The University of Sydney. She undertook specialist ophthalmology training at the Royal Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne, Victoria.
Dr Tan has completed 2 fellowships. The first was in Cataract surgery at Monash Hospital, Victoria’s largest cataract service provider. The second was in Oculoplastics through the prestigious Orbital Plastics and Lacrimal Fellowship at the Royal Eye and Ear Hospital.
Dr Tan has a PhD in Medicine for the University of Sydney. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and presented her work at several national and international conferences.
Dr Tan has a public appointment at Monash Health. She is involved in teaching future ophthalmologists. Jennifer also embraces the opportunity to have Optometrists gain ophthalmic experience with her in her rooms.
Dr Tan is committed to providing up-to-date, evidence-based and safe treatment to ensure the highest standard of care for her patients. She is known for delivering exceptional clinical care with a professional and caring approach.
Prior to her medical career, Dr Tan was an Aerospace Engineer having studied at the University of NSW under the prestigious Co-Op Scholarship. She was the first woman awarded the University Medal from the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing at the University of NSW.
