Dr Georgia Cleary is a cornea, cataract and refractive surgeon. Her subspecialty clinical practice encompasses ocular surface and anterior segment disease in adults and children.
Georgia completed her undergraduate medical studies in Perth at the University of Western Australia. Her Ophthalmology specialist training was undertaken in London, UK, where she also completed a PhD exploring cataract surgery and intraocular lens design. She then undertook further fellowship training in cornea and external eye disease at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, then the Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital (RVEEH), Melbourne.
Her areas of interest include cataract and refractive lens surgery, laser vision correction, corneal transplantation, pterygium surgery, and corneal cross linking. She enjoys achieving the best possible visual outcomes for her patients.
Georgia holds a public appointment as a consultant Ophthalmologist at RVEEH, working in the Corneal and Surgical Ophthalmology Services. She is the cataract surgery research lead for the Surgical Ophthalmology Service.
