Oculoplastic Surgery

About Oculoplastics

Oculoplastics involves the treatment and surgical procedures of eyelid, lacrimal and orbital conditions.

Entropion

Entropion occurs when the eyelid rolls inward towards the eye. The turned in eyelid rubs against the surface of the eye and can lead to corneal scarring or ulcers.

Ectropion

Ectropion occurs when the lower eyelid rolls out or sags away from the eye. This can lead to the eye becoming dry and sore and may also lead to damage to the cornea due to exposure.

Lacrimal Surgery

A blocked tear duct can cause the eye to constantly water or sometimes leads to chronic eye infections.  Lacrimal surgery is used to remove the nasolacrimal obstruction causing the blockage.
